Rivers United Technical Adviser Stanley Eguma says his side “must-win” their away games if they are to return to the top of the NPFL table as they are guests to Rangers International FC on Sunday.
The “Pride of Rivers” defeated the “Flying Antelopes” 1-0 in the reverse fixture on matchday one and will seek to do a double against the 2016 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Champions.
“We know we have to keep winning home and away to enable us to get to the top. So, it is not over now and I believe that we can turn things around if only we can correct our mistakes especially in away games, and ensure we start getting good results away from home. We will get better.”
Eguma also admitted the intensity and quality of the NPFL can make winning away from home possible.
” We are working hard to getting points. It’s to go and win a match and it possible in the Nigeria league so we will go for that and at the end of the day, we hope and believe that we will win the game against Rangers..”
