Technical Director of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Austin Eguavoen on Saturday embarked on a tour of the team camp of the 2019 Anambra FA Cup Champions, Aspire FC to assess the facilities at the players’ and club official residence.
The tour of the Aspire FC Camp was part of the visit of the Ex-International and former Super Eagles coach to the team as he joined a host of top football administrators, Ex-Internationals and FIFA licensed agents who were in the state for a one-day scouting programme for Under-15 and Under-20 age categories held at the Neros Stadium Nanka, Anambra State.
Eguavoen’s visit to the sports complex was to assess the Aspire FC structure, club management, and players welfare with a view to ascertaining the club’s readiness in featuring at the top tier of Nigerian club football and offer professional advice to the team in line with global best practices.
Eguavoen commended the club proprietor and the entire management of Aspire FC for the work so far, he described the club as a trailblazer in club football in the state and beyond. “I am impressed with what I have seen on the ground in terms of structure, management, team administration and human resource management. Today, am here for the one-day scouting programme, this has enabled me to look at Aspire FC setup as I have equally visited the team camp. I can say that Aspire FC is run professionally, however, I will offer my input on areas that requires fine-tuning with a view to ensuring the club achieve its dream and vision of becoming a national and continental force to reckon with for the round leather game in months to come,” Eguavoen said.
Aspire FC Camp is endowed with facilities on an exclusive basis to attendees of the soccer camp with en-suite facilities, games room, dining room, study center, and conservatory. The football camp is designed for players aged 16-25 years old giving the ideal preparation and opportunity to develop all areas of the team performance.
