Kano State Football Association chairman, Alhaji Sheriff Inuwa (aka Ahlan) has disclosed that a total of 17 clubs are already confirmed for the second edition of his pre-season competition, Ahlan Cup 2018, which is billed to kick-off on Saturday.
Inuwa, who is also an executive committee member of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), said the competition is programmed to keep clubs busy and prepare them for the new season.
He added that the competition, which he hopes will become a major international event from next year, is meant to prepare clubs for both domestic and continental competitions.
Inuwa said he is excited to note that Enyimba, Katsina United, Yobe Desert, Wikki Tourist, Abia Warriors, El-kanemi Warriors and Plateau United have all booked to feature in the competition.
