Chairperson of Fehinty Football Club, Ido Osun, Victoria Fehintola has glorified God and appreciated the club’s fans and supporters, saying it was a through ‘Supreme Divine’ and cumulative efforts of Osun people that led to the team’s promotion to the Division One after 6 years.
Recall that Fehinty FC on Saturday, April 24, walloped Ogbomoso United 2-0 in the Promotion Playoff at the Osogbo Township Stadium to pick the sole ticket from Osun State Centre.
The Proprietress, in a statement by the club’s media department said she would forever be grateful to God and Osun people, particularly the Ido-Osun fans and supporters who always cheer the team up whenever they are in action.
“I don’t know what to say but to thank the ‘Supreme Being’ and our numerous fans and supporters in Ido Osun and Osun State in general for their efforts. Without God and them, it wouldn’t have been possible. Ido Osun people are peace-loving and accommodating and we will remain grateful to them all.
“I also thank Osun State Football Association led by Chief Mustapha Rasaq and the Secretary, Amoo Abayomi, Osun State Grassroot Football Coaches Council led by Coach Adediran Adeleke and that of Egbedore Local Government under Coach Bashir Abiona for their moral support before and during the playoff.
“I similarly recognize and laud the publicity given our club by sports journalists through Radio, Television and Print media. We thank you all and promise not to disappoint you in our quest to gain promotion to the Nigeria National League very soon,” concluded Fehintola.
