Ligue 1’s Nigerian breakout star Terem Moffi continued his impressive season with another goal for Lorient on Sunday, although they fell to a 4-1 at the hands of Lens.
With the strike, Moffi reached 10 goals in all competitions for the campaign.
Nine of those goals have come in Ligue 1 with the other one in the French cup round 32 where he came off the bench to net the winner against Paris FC back in February.
More impressively for the youngster, he has scored 8 of his 10 goals in 2021 which include strikes against Monaco (3 goals in 2 games against them) and Paris Saint-German.
He has a couple of assists to go with which brings his total goal involvement to twelve (10 goals & 2 assists) in 27 appearances.
Moffi’s goalscoring form since the start of this year catalyzed Lorient climb out of the relegation zone. They are currently in 17th position with 32 points in as many games, two points above Nimes in 18th.
With 6 games left, there is still something to play for and Lorient will hope their €8m summer signing has a couple more left in his locker.
