The Creative Championship League has returned albeit with two games producing draws and just two goals in total as Remo Stars and Imperial played out a one-all draw and Gbagada FC versus Iganmu FC ended in a goalless affair. However, it was not the same when Emmydinho FC hosted Valiant FC at Agege as the visitors ran out 5-0 winners.
Speaking after the game to Sports247, coach of Valiant FC Achieve Yunus, explained that he was very optimistic of his side’s form.
“I was very optimistic because I know exactly the form we are incoming from the NLO and we came back here to prove a point that we can’t also get to the top here,” Achieve said.
The coach did not hesitate to comment on the fine Man Of The Match display of his strike Lookman Ibrahim, who netted four times in the game to earn the award and the match ball and also the three points for his side.
“I feel good about his performance but I wasn’t surprised as he’s used to it (scoring goals). Players have their good and bad days and today was one of his good days and he got four. There will be more from him as we have two more games to go and we’re working very hard to get maximum six points in the games and see where we stand in the league,” the coach added.
The win takes Valiant FC into second place on the TCC League table pending the outcome of the game between title contenders Dino SC and Ijebu United.
Coach Achieve Yunus also explained that with the Performance of the team, there has been a lot of interest of agents and clubs in his players but he tries to let it not get to their head as they have not gotten anywhere in their careers.
