William Troost-Ekong has expressed his satisfaction with Nigeria’s performance against Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium (Lagos) on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles defeated the Crocodiles 3-0 in the final 2022 AFCON qualifying fixture to end the campaign unbeaten and top of Group L with 14 points.
It was Nigeria’s first game held in Lagos in 10 years, and also the first competitive game in the city since a 1-0 Nations Cup qualifying win over Zambia in January 2001.
“Lagos it was a pleasure! Great performance from the boys. Onwards and upwards,” Troost-Ekong who captained the side on the occasion shared on social media.
