Head Coach of Team Lagos, Adesina Yusuf has applauded the efforts of the state government, Lagos State Sports Commission, LSFA over their commitment and support to the team in terms of welfare packages, infrastructural facility provisions, and the unwavering support they have received all along coming at the back of the playoff victory against Team Ekiti at Ibadan, Sports247 gathered.
“Firstly, we thank God as it wasn’t an easy game because of the condition and I praise my boys’ doggedness despite the condition of the pitch, as it is obviously not good, they proved that they merited the Festival slot,” he allayed.
“Our target is gold, when we went to Abuja we had the best team and still didn’t mean gold. We are working very hard to change the narrative and make Lagos State proud, our fans should expect gold.”
“Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, some players have traveled out to sign professional contracts which is affecting the team in some capacity, we have others and we believe that they will perform well at the festival.”
“We’ve never lacked anything, the state government, Lagos State Sports Commission, LSFA have been doing wonderfully well to support us and make sure that we succeed in Edo.”
