After losing their first game of the NLO in Remo Ogun state 2-0 to Destiny Boys, Emmydinho FC have rallied around one another to get themselves back together. Speaking to Sports247, Emmydinho FC’s playmaker, Chidera Christian said the players did try their best.
“We actually tried our best to get the win. Football is all about winning, losing, or playing draws and we tried our best but it wasn’t enough,” said Chidera.
He went further to explain that losing a match doesn’t rule them out of the league and they will seek to do better in upcoming fixtures.
“We have lost our first match but it doesn’t mean we’re out of the race or that we’ll finish bottom of the league. I’ll assure our management that we’ll do better and make them proud as we’ll get to the top as we’re eyeing promotion,” he said.
