MFM FC attacking midfielder, Oladayo Alabi has confessed that his hard work enabled him to return to the starting lineup for the Olukoya Boys in Monday’s 1-0 win over Nasarawa United.
Alabi expressed his excitement to have gotten back into the team after some time out.
“I am very happy to have returned to the first 11,” Alabi told Sports247.
“I worked hard to get back into the team. In some away matches that have been played, I tried but it’s not enough so I kept on training hard for me to get to the first 11.”
On his side’s performance in the encounter, Alabi stated that the first half wasn’t the best but they had to give it their all in the second period to come out on top.
“I am happy with the coaches. The way we played as a team enabled us to win the game. We really worked hard.
“We were not at our best in the first half. That’s not the way we play.
“But then in the second half the coaches talked to us and we got back to the game and fought back,” he added.
