Not every player gets to win a man of the match award and not all does it in style by winning a hattrick. Wasiu Balogun helped his side Gbagada FC to a 3-0 win over Emmydinho in the TCC League and the striker says it’s an unbeaten run for him that they’re looking forward to.
“I’m very happy to win the MOTM, I’ve been looking for it although it’s a team effort and I’m grateful to my teammates. This is our only plan since the month of February, to go on an unbeaten run, win all our home games, and even away games just to make sure we’re closer to the top of the table,” he said.
He expressed his delight at winning the man of the match award and hoped for more performances as such today even as Gbagada FC remain 4 points behind the league leaders with three games to go in the league.
