Messiah Coach Reacts After 1-3 Defeat To 36 Lion FC…Sympathized With Player Over Mother’s Death

Although they lost 1-3 to a Lagos-based professional club, 36 Lion FC in a friendly match played recently at FIFA legacy pitch of National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos but Messiah FC Coach, David Dosu said he was satisfied with the players’ performance.

Dosu in a chat with journalists said apart from results that did not favor them, he contended with his players’ doggedness, determination and fighting spirit exhibited against their opponents. He said the team played better in the first half but blamed his players for not converting their scoring chances.

“It was a good and tough match for us because 36 Lion are a good side. We would have won the game if we take our chances in the first half but we dearly paid for it when we resumed the second half as our opponents convert their scoring chances which gave them victory,” he said.

Dosu popularly known as Apelete during his active days said he still needs to work on the players, fitness level, and other concern areas before their National League One (NLO) scheduled for next month.

In his reaction Abdulgafaar Liameed, Chairman of 36 Lion FC commended his opponents for their performance but boasted that his team tactically won the game.
