Nigerian International Para-Powerlifter Targets NSF Gold For Delta State

Nigerian international para-powerlifter, Paul Kehinde says he is preparing very well for the upcoming National Sports Festival in Abuja, because he wants top bring glory to Delta State.

 

 

Kehinde disclosed that he has received the best form of support from Delta State government in his build-up to the festival, and sports247.ng gathered he is now determined to justify it all by winning big in Abuja.

 

 

Kehinde, who won his first gold medal for Delta at the 2009 Festival, is already a Paralympics gold medalist, but he wants to win on the domestic scene again.

 

 

Kehinde, who holds the -65kg world record said he has been in camp for three weeks training, because he has a strong desire to win a gold medal in the Para Powerlifting event at the forthcoming festival in Abuja.

 

He disclosed: “I am currently in good shape. I have been in Port Harcourt for three weeks.

 

“Delta State government has provided a suitable environment for me to train and I assure them that I will not disappoint them.

 

“The 2017 World Championships in Mexico, 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia helped me keep my form.

 

“I am going to the Sports Festival to win a gold medal. I will use this festival as part of my preparations for the 2019 International Para Powerlifting Championship in Lagos.”
