Attention would be shifted to FIFA legacy pitch of National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos on Wednesday as professional side, 36 Lion Football Club would battle a Lagos amateur 1, Messiah Football Club in a friendly match promises to be explosive.
The much anticipated friendly tie would kick off on Wednesday by 3 pm.
The friendly match would be tough for both sides as Messiah FC would use the game to prepare for National League One, NLO scheduled for next month, while 36 Lion FC would do everything to avoid an upset against their opponents.
Messiah FC recently beat Lion Heart FC 4-1 in a friendly match which gives the coaching crew led by David Dosu to face 36 Lion in another tough friendly this mid-week.
Abdulgafaar Liameed, Chairman of 36 Lion confirmed to our correspondent that their game against Messiah FC would be tough because of the football pedigree of both sides in Lagos.
“It is going to be a tough match for both teams because it is a friendly match that both teams would like to fight for supremacy. It is a game that would bring the best out of players and all I can say is that we would give Messiah FC a good fight,” he said.
But Dosu who is in charge of Messiah FC said he would approach the game with all seriousness saying that the best team would win the encounter.
