Despite seeing his team end Kwara United’s unbeaten run, head coach of Rangers International, Salisu Yusuf has maintained that Kwara United are a good side.
Rangers stole all three points in the Week 11 clash against the Ilorin-based club with a Chiamaka Madu tap-in in the first half after a goalmouth scramble.
Salisu complimented the visitors in his post-match interview which Sports247 was part of.
“Kwara (United) are s good side, they are very young, full energy and I think they can still pull a surprise before the season ends.”
“We had to keep up to their level, sit back and not allow them spaces.”
On Christian Nnaji who has been performing well on the pitch, the gaffer said he is impressed.
“Nnaji is getting there, he is really improving. We got him from FC Ifeanyi Ubah and unlike his first few games, he’s growing into the techniques. I’m impressed by him.”
The win takes Rangers into the top 4 as they prepare for mid-week action against Wikki Tourists.
