Technical Adviser of the Nigeria Super Eagles Gernot Rohr has expressed satisfaction over the ongoing Victor Agali As Racine under 17 scouting tournaments.
The Franca-Germany technician said some of the players are good enough to be recommended to the junior national teams of the under 17 and 20.
Rohr who enjoys himself watching Great Avenger 2-1 semi-final defeat against Excellent Academy said he saw some good players that need proper technical touch.
“Grassroots is where all footballers started from. Myself, Victor Agali, and every other player pass through this stage. It needs to be encouraged and supported”
Former board member of the Nigeria Football Federation and Director of AS Racine, Emmanuel Ibru point out that the purpose of the event is to discover raw talented footballers and groom them to professionals.
The final that is billed to hold on Friday 19th of February will see Fc planners who defeated Golden Friend 5-3 after a 2-2 regulation time draw against Great Avenger by 3 pm at the Ibru College, Agbara, Delta state.
