The Creative Championship Cup returned with the second leg fixtures of the quarter final games to determine who makes it through to the semis and stands a chance to win the first ever TCC Cup.
Valiant FC defeated Iganmu FC 4-0 in the first leg and came into the second leg feeling rather uneasy as they looked easily through to the semis but the were stunned by a much better Iganmu FC side who were close to overturning the deficit.
Coach of Valiant FC, Achievement Yinus, spoke to Sports247 after the game and shared his thoughts on his sides performance:
“My players were too confident and relaxed. They didn’t expect what they saw. I told them before he second half, do not underrate them, they can come out differently,”
“We have a lot of things to do, it shows that we need to score more goals because anything can happen. We have to convert our chances, train harder and score more goals,” he said.
Valiant FC are second on the TCC League table with 15pts from 8 games, two points behind leaders Remo Stars Academy while Iganmu FC are 6th with 7pts from 8 games in the league.
