Messiah FC fell to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Prince Kazeem Eletu FC on Friday in a pre-season friendly game at the Agege Stadium.
Despite the loss, David Dosu the coach of Messiah FC was upbeat, saying that his team could have gotten something more from the game if they had converted their chances.
“That is football. I can not talk more than that. That is football but we had chances too but couldn’t convert them.” Osu told Sports247.
“I believe if we had used our chances it would be 3-3. But that is football. We go back home and readjust ourselves.”
With an eye on the Nationwide League One which starts on the 7th of the match, coach Osu revealed that his team are preparing for the tournament with more test matches to follow.
He also disclosed that he aims to promote Messiah FC a level higher to the Nigeria National League (NNL), the second tier of the Nigerian football league system.
“My target is to promote the team to NNL. We must work hard to achieve that.
“Like I said we will go back home, play the next friendly matches and adjust ourselves. Then we know if we are ready or not,” he added.
