Broad City Fc Player, Boluwatife Linus has commended the coaching abilities of the Golden Eaglets Manager, Fatai Osho, despite not being part of the team that finished second at the just concluded WAFU B U17 tournament in Togo.
Fatai Osho led the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria to a second-place finish at the WAFU B U17 Tournament in Togo, losing narrowly by 3-2 at the final to Cote d’Ivoire. The team also ensured qualification for the AFCON U17 Championship.
Speaking with Sports247, Linus Adams expressed his delight on being in the Golden Eaglets’ camp, he also took some time out to commend the coaching abilities of Fatai Amao on the team, despite not being selected for the tournament due to his failure of the MRI test, as he stated that he looks forward to representing his country (Nigeria) at the U20 level since he couldn’t do so at the U17 level.
“Being in the U17 camp is a great experience and exposure for me. Every footballer at my age wants to make it abroad and play on the international stage. But unfortunately, I couldn’t pass the MRI scan, but that didn’t stop the team from doing well in the competition”.
“Of all the coaches I have played under, Coach Fatai Osho is the most tactical. I like his idea of football. He likes to play on the front foot, he likes players who think fast and players who are quick. He is a great grassroots coach”.
“Hopefully I am looking forward to representing Nigeria at the U20 level. If the U17 level couldn’t work out, I pray the U20 level works out”.
Linus Adams admitted that he hopes to play at the biggest stage in Europe by playing professionally Abroad someday and represent the Nigeria National team.
