Bundesliga side FC Koln have announced the capture of Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis on loan from Club Brugge for the rest of the season, Sports247 reports.
“Emmanuel is a quick player, who can play through the middle as a striker as well as on the wings. His finishing ability last season saw him gain the interest of many top clubs,” said sporting director Horst Heldt.
Dennis endured a tough first half of the 2020/21 season with Brugge.
After failing to secure a move away from the Belgian champions at the start of the campaign, things went sour between Dennis and the club.
He was affected by injuries, off-field issues, including the death of his elder brother in a boat accident all of which limited him to just 433 minutes of league action with Brugge.
“The last six months were not easy for me. I want to play and score goals, and therefore I wanted to make a move in the current transfer window,” he told the club’s official channels.
“I am pleased that I’m now at FC. I know what the sporting situation at FC is – therefore I want to play my part in keeping us in the league, by playing and scoring in a top league.”
Dennis joins forces with compatriots Kingsley Ehizibue and Toluwalase Arokodare at the RheinEnergieStadion.
