With The Preseason Friendlies, And Personals On Ground,Mighty Jets’ Return To The NPFL Is Not Negotiable

Mighty Jets International Football Club of Jos, continued with their readiness to make this much anticipated Nigeria National League the last this season and return to the elite division, NPFL, as they take a Turkey tour bound team, TBC FC to the cleaners, as they bashed them 4-1.

The friendly match played, Friday, at the New Jos Stadium, saw the quartet of Olare Dauda, Musa Musa, Umaru Dama, and Chukuma Ukoh scored for Mighty Jets in the 18th, 59th, 74th, and 82nd minutes respectively, while Collins Chibuzorlam got the consolatory goal for TBC FC.

The Technical Director of the team, Isaac Amabu Salami, believes the team is good enough to return to where it belongs:
“The friendly match played today was very competitive and has shown the position of Coach Sylvester Ekoja’s team in terms of readiness, fitness level, and preparation, no doubt, the team is ready for the NNL season and I believe we will pick the ticket to the NPFL with the team on the ground.”

On his own part, the Team Manager of Mighty Jets International FC, Adamu Mohammed Maikudi, popularly known as Meku PZ, thanked the State government led by Simon Bako Lalong, for his continuous support shown to the traditional club side. In his words:
“We are just so fortunate to have a sports-loving Governor in Plateau State, the type of support he gives to Plateau United and its sister club, Mighty Jets is so encouraging, as it is in one way or the other contributing to the peace we now enjoy on the Plateau, as the youths are directly touched with his fatherly touch.”
He continues: “With great men like the Commissioner of Youth and Sports in the Plateau, Victor Lapang, the Chairman of Mighty Jets International FC, Alex Wukari, and the Plateau State football association chairman, Sunday Samson Longbap, the team will surely return to the NPFL where it belongs.”

It would be recalled that Mighty Jets are the first team to win the elite league in Nigeria in 1972.

Mighty Jets International FC will battle for the Premier league ticket in Group A1 of the NNL Northern conference with the likes of Elkanemi FC, EFCC FC, NAF FC, Oyah Sports FC, Rarara FC, Sokoto Utd FC, Aklosendi Int’l FC, Gombe Utd FC, Green Berets FC, and FC Taraba, in a league slated to commence on the 30th of January.
