Most Coaches In The NPFL Need To Improve On Attacking Football…Especially In Away Games

By Coach Uni Dan KAKWI

Technically- most teams playing away adopt defensive tactics / Strategies. Ie 4-5-1,5-4 -1 and even 5-5-0…in recent retrospect that has to tighten away games.

Remember the best form of defense is to attack in modern football…

After week 5 the stats in the NPFL look encouraging.

NPFL STATS AS WK 5

Total No. of Matches: 49
Total Goals: 95
Goals average/Match: 1.9
No. of Wins: 37
No. of Draws: 12
Away Wins: 6
Yellow Cards: 175
Red Cards: 6
Penalties Scored: 10
Penalties not Scored: 3

A total of 95 goals were scored in 49 matches that’s an average of 1.9 per game which is a good prospect. Massively quality is beginning to shape up especially the home advantage scenario coupled with bad officiating is fading… standard of officiating is improving.

Remarkably, it was in 2016 that all home teams in the NPFL recorded wins- depicting the change in the predictability of home games

Purposefully* after 49 matches in the NPFL we have 6 away wins that are showing rapid improvement in all facets of team quality and strategy.

Tactically, the mentality of most coaches in the NPFL is to at least get a point in away games and hope to come out all to attack in home games for 3 points..they fail to adopt attacking formations to win games mostly away.

The average home wins would always be higher if attacking strategies are not enforced by away teams to strike out a balance.

Significantly, most coaches are lazy to study opponents via video clips, stats, and observations. Basically, if this is done more goals, specific and group tactics would flourish.

I think most coaches in the NPFL need orientation and purpose in winning games home and away…

WE TRULY HAVE QUALITY IN THE NPFL..LETS SUPPORT THE NPFL..
