KG Sports Academy Clinches Maiden Edition of Doris Nwadiolu Memroial Cup, Spanks Ekuku Agbor United 5-2

KG Sports Academy Agbor emerged the Champions of the Maiden Edition of Late Madam Doris Nwadiolu Memorial Cup after a 5-2 win over host team Ekuku Agbor United FC at the Ineh Iten Primary School Ground.

The match which was organized by KG Sports Foundation in honor of the Late Mother of the Foundation’s Director Dr. Gabriel Ken Gadaffi attracted a huge crowd including Chief John Ojeme, the Onowu of Ekuku Agbor, His wife Madam Monica Ojeme, Rtd MWO Gabriel Nwadiolu, the Husband of Late Doris Nwadiolu, Rtd WO Steven Ojeifor and many others.

Ekuku Agbor United drew the first blood within 10 minutes after KG Sports Academy Captain Jude Obu Failed to clear the line allowing Gabriel Rocking to fire home from close range. Jude Obi missed the chance to redeem himself minutes later as his penalty kick went wide after an Ekuku AGbor United defender handled the ball in the box.

Ekuku United FC sent their fans to a frenzy when Gabriel Rockingtime fired home from the penalty spot to make it 2-0.

KG Boys went into the Break on the back foot but whatever Coach Samuel Okonkwo must have told them paid off as they came out smoking in the second half with Dimunitive Wisdom Rogers on Fire. The Attacking Midfielder scored 4 goals and Jude Obi redeemed his first half Blunder with a goal to make it 5-2 for the Academy Boys.

Meanwhile Earlier before the Kick-Off, Dr. Ken Gadaffi Gabriel, Founder of KG sports Foundation and Son of the late Madam Doris Nwadiolu Donated A Set of Jerseys, Playing Bibs, Socks, and Footballs to the Ekuku Agbor United Team and Pledged to Groom Talents from them by providing the team with Adequate Coaching and Technical Support.

Dr. Ken Also Pledged to Expand the Tournament to Other Communities around Ekuku AGbor where the late Doris Nwadiolu had Roots Such as Alidinma, Ndemili, Utagbuono, and Agbor. The Tournament will henceforth be held annually to immortalize the Late Doris Nwadiolu

“My mother was a mother to all, she loved children and lived her life serving humanities, She was a leader in the church, Women Organizations and help promote Family, So the best way to remember her is to bring Youths together to play such tournaments which I am glad to do, though its been 15 years since she departed this world, her spirit lives on forever in our heart and I am sure she will be smiling in her final resting place “Dr. Ken Stated.
