Nigeria’s beach soccer national team, Super Sand Eagles coach, Audu Adamu (Ejo) says he can vouch for all 20 players he named in his list of invitees ahead of next month’s continental showpiece in Egypt.
Adamu stated in an interview with sports247.ng that he personally and carefully checked each of the players before naming them in his roster.
Although Adamu admitted he will still have to cross checks the lads when the resume camping in Badagry, Lagos this weekend, he reckoned that he already has an idea of what he wants for this year’s Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations.
Adamu stated that further that the final list he will roll out for the trip to Egypt will be one that gives him enough confidence for the tournament.
He also explained that Kano Pillars’ striker, Junior Lokosa was omitted from the list of invitees because of his movement in and out for trials.
‘Ejo’ explained: “Lokosa is not in the list because he is hoping to secure a foreign deal very soon.
“As for the other league players in the list, I have spoken to all of them about their availability and also held discussions with their clubs.”
