After an intriguing display on the pitch in Akure between Sunshine Stars and FC Ifeanyi Ubah, the Anambra Warriors’ coach, Uche Okagbue has expressed displeasure at his team 1-0 loss.
Despite not creating lots of chances to score in the game, coach Okagbue while speaking with Sports247 said he felt bad for his team.
“I felt bad. I felt very bad but it is one of those things that happen in football, it’s football, you win, lose or draw but today we lost.”
FC Ifeanyi Ubah were outdone by an Ogunniyi Omo Jesu free kick in the 9th minute at the edge of the box.
When asked about his thoughts after Fuad Ekelojuoti got only a yellow card for a rash challenge that could have seen him red-carded, the gaffer said the referee was soft-hearted.
“You saw it yourself, it was a red card, it was a straight red card. The referee didn’t protect my players, it was obvious and he was soft with his decision.”
FC Ifeanyi Ubah have lost their last 15 away games since they got a promotion into the NPFL and have suffered their first loss of the season after getting a win on matchday 1 against Lobi Stars at home.
