Nigeria’s youth national team, Flying Eagles’ goalkeepers’ trainer, Shuaibu Suleiman has declared that the squad’s shot-stoppers are all on their toes and gave them thumbs up for always falling into line.
Making his verdict known in a chat with sports247.ng on Tuesday, the keepers’ coach expressed satisfaction with the performance of the lads during training and other activities.
Suleiman enthused that the net minders are showing good form and enthusiasm ahead of next month’s West African Football Union (WAFU) U-20 Cup in Lome, Togo.
He noted that the high spirit among the keepers is evocative of better days ahead of them and the team
Suleiman said: “I am happy with the confidence level of my goalkeepers.
“They are all doing well in training, which makes it difficult to pick the first choice.
“That is a good sign for us, because it means they are really competitive for the shirt.
“We will pick the first choice on merit, but they will be put to test based on their performances, before we go to Lome next month.”
