Osun Babes striker, Yemisi Samuel has declared that she wants to win the golden boot for the NWFL2020/21 campaign.
Yemisi scored score a brace in her side’s three-nil thrashing of Pelican Stars adding to the goal she scored against Ibom Angels to take her goal tally to 3 for the season.
In an interview with Sports247 after the game, Yemisi said she is working towards achieving that.
” Yes, I pray to be, I wish to be mad I want to be the highest goal scorer of the NWFL season. I’m sure with the help of my teammates and coaches, I can achieve because I’m working hard towards it already.”
Ahead of the next game against Royal Queens, The Flamingoes striker said she is ready to score more goals.
“It will be a tough game but I’m sure I will score goals there. I expect to play better in the game.”
Yemisi’s phenomenal run of form continues after she scored 11 goals in 6 matches for the Nigerian women U-17 national team in qualifiers.
The striker joined Osun Babes from Sunshine Queens earlier this year.
