Not Making Flying Eagles Team Is A Blessing In Disguise – Obi Martins Expresses Happiness Towards Signing For Leganes FC

Kenneth Omeruo Academy player, Obi Martins has expressed his happiness towards his transfer to Leganes Youth team.

The 19 year says in an interview with Sports247 it was a dream come true for him and his family to sign for his Proprietor’s (Kenneth Omeruo) club side, as it was a blessing in disguise following the fact that he was dropped from the U20 team for the WAFU B tournament. He also said he would work hard to make himself, his country, as well as his family proud and do not regret being dropped by Coach Ladan Bosso in the WAFU B tournament.

“It’s a blessing in disguise and I am very grateful to God for that. My plan is to do well to make myself and my family proud and my country proud too. I don’t regret being dropped.

When being asked how he would feel if being called up to represent Nigeria in the future, he admitted that it will be a huge pleasure for him to represent his fatherland, one that he would always accept.

“It would be a very great pleasure for me to represent my country, so I will definitely accept it”.

Obi Martins also says he is looking forward to playing in the main team of Leganes of Spain.

Leganes Fc currently plays in the 2nd Division (Segundo Division) of Spanish Football, which has Kenneth Omeruo for them at the heart of the defense.
