Coronavirus Update: Flying Eagles Chisom Orji test Negative

Nigerian Flying Eagles player Chisom Orji is COVID-19 free after series of test were carried out.

It was reported last week that two players in the Nigeria Flying Eagles squad to the WAFU-B games had infact tested positive to COVID-19. Olawale Farayola is another player who supposedly tested positive to the COVID.

Orji was dropped from the all-important Group B match against arch-rivals Ghana as a result of this result and he and Farayola were immediately quarantined.

Flying Eagles spokesman Andrew Randa announced that both players and officials turned in negative results from the fresh tests they insisted on.

Some officials have maintained there was a ploy against Nigeria at the U20 AFCON in Benin and the “false positive“ result for Orji and Farayola was one of the ploys to stop the Flying Eagles from progressing in the tournament.

Chisom Orji would have made a big impact on the game if he had not been falsely removed from the game under the guise of being COVID-19 positive.
