The Nigeria Women Football League Tuesday at the Lafia Township Stadium, Nasarawa put finishing touches on the facilities provided by the host, Nasarawa Amazons, setting the stage for the grand opener of the 2020/2021 NWFL Premiership game between the Amazons and FC Robo of Lagos.
At the match venue this afternoon, all hands were on deck at the Lafia City Stadium, as Barrister Isaac Danladi, Chairman Nasarawa United joined hands to assist the Chairperson of Nasarawa Amazons, Hajia Hussaina Suleiman, to finalise all arrangements for a seamless official opening ceremony of the 2020/2021 NWFL Premiership season, with a game that would be watched by two cabinet ministers; Youth and Sports Minister, Sunday Dare and Women Affairs Minister, Paulen Tallen, as well as the General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Dr. Yusuf Sanusi.
The kick has been fixed for 4 pm same as the matches in the other six venues.
Elsewhere in Benin City, the Edo State capital, all arrangements have been put in place to see the match between the home team, Edo Queens FC and newcomers Royal Queens of Warri played under floodlight, just as it was done in one of the Nigeria Professional Football League matches played at the Agege Stadium two seasons ago between Mountain of Fire and Miracles Football club against Kano Pillars.
