News filtering from the Flying Eagles Hotel De Lamitie, in Cotonou, Benin Republic have it that agents of many top European clubs are jostling to have an audience of Nigeria U20 midfielder, Oladoye Adewale.
According to the source in the Nigeria U20 team’s camp, the agents flooded the hotel after watching him in the group B opener of the U20 WAFU Zone B tournament against Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday.
The Junior Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire in the 90th minute scored the equalizer to force Nigeria to a 1-1 draw at the Stade de Gualle.
The lanky defensive midfielder’s great talent was noticed by many following his sensational performance in the match which attracted the representatives of many foreign clubs who have since then been calling his parent club, Water FC, Abuja over his signature.
‘The Nigeria Viera’ as he’s fondly called showed class in the group opener as he remained the link for Flying Eagles when forming an attack, his deadly attacking moves, with strength in marking out opposition, truncating their attacking plans, supplying accurate short and long passes to his teammates won him the Man of The Match award.
With a draw against Ivory Coast on Sunday, the two-time World Cup finalist will need a win against Ghana’s U20 men team to stand a chance of progressing to the semi-final.
Flying Eagles of Nigeria will face Ghana on Wednesday at 4 pm (Nigerian time) at the Stade de Gualle, Port Novo.
