Osas Justice 60th Minute strike was all Green Rangers needed to seal their ticket for the Finals of the KG Sports Foundation Cup with a game to spare and effectively knocked out Winners FC on Wednesday at the St Columbus Grammar School Ground.
It was an epic Encounter as Winners coming into the game with just 2 points knows that only a win will guarantee them Qualification while Green Rangers with 4 Points could still salvage a draw but the Coach Opra led side were bent on winning the game to seal their place ahead of the Sunday Finals.
Winners pushed hard in the first half in search of the goals and twice in quick succession, Festus was one on one with the goalkeeper but the striker shot wide as the first half ended 0-0.
Green Rangers Turned the tides in the second half and it paid off in the 60th minute as Justice latched on to a through ball to volley it into the rooftop to make it 1-0.
Winners came out but the Hard fighting Green Rangers Defense held tight to their lead and got the desired 3 points to take their tally to 7 points from 3 matches.
Green Rangers will take on KG Sports Academy on Friday in a mere formality Match before both sides will vie for the Trophy on Sunday in the finals of the First Edition of the KG Sports Foundation Cup.
