Kano Pillars is on the verge of completing a deal for the signature of a Cameroonian player, Ngweni Ndasi from the Moroccan side, CRA de Morocco.
He arrived at the Pyramid city on Wednesday and has completed his mandatory medical examination at Abdullahi Wase Specialists Hospital, Kano.
Ngweni participated in his first training session with the rest of the squad on Thursday at Dawakin Kudu Mini Stadium.
According to the chairman of the club, Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Yahaya, said, the player is expected to sign a deal with the Sai Masu Gidas before the end of the current week.
Alhaji Surajo further said that the player was invited based on the request by the technical crew of the team to reinforce grey areas identified before the kick-off of the 2020/2021 football season.
He finally revealed that the team is expected to embark on close camping next week in order to prepare well for the task ahead.
The pride of Kano will trade tackles against Senegalese side, ASC Jaraaf in the preliminary stage of the CAF Confederation with the first leg slated for Senegal and the return leg in Nigeria a fortnight after the first fixture and will open their 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, against Adamawa Utd.
