Nigeria’s Ridwan popularly called ‘Scorpion’ Oyekola fight promoter, Sola Ayodele has assured that the Nigerian is in line for victory in the World Boxing Federation (WBF) International Super Featherweight title clash against Spain’s Jose Ramos ‘Tornado’ Savin with the fight set to hold on December 27 at the prestigious Ilaji Sports and Resort, Ibadan.
The promoter hailed as Sola Ford allayed that ‘Scorpion’ Oyekola started closed camping and was in intensive training preparatory for the big fight as boxing is a physically demanding sport that requires the fighter to be at topmost fitness and that demands various training techniques for the fight build-up, particularly world title bouts.
Coach Sunny Bruce, a former Commonwealth champion, employed as the boxer trainer is working hard to sharpen the fighter’s skills, Ayodele shared, “the trainer and Scorpion now train morning and evening with a focus on vital areas to improve the boxer because working on punching alone is not enough.”
