The World Africa Boxing Association (WABA) and Ringside Gym Global Ring Officials training Seminar slated for November 16th to November 18th, 2020 is on course as preparations are in top gear.
Speaking from Dubai, the United Arab Emirate’ Archipelago, Mr. Zack Taumafai who is one of the Ringside Gym Global owners said that the venue, hotel accommodation for seminar officials, and some foreign participants are ready.
Mr. Taumafai who is hailed from the Island of Samoa is also the WABA Commissioner to the Middle East and Samoa Island in the pacific ring work in the cohort with his business partner Mr. Poyam Honari from Iran.
This seminar comes in the backdrop of WABA’s growing influence in the global boxing and combat sports that bring boxing, MMA, Muaythai, and kickboxing matrix under one roof.
According to Mr. Taumafai, the Ring Officials Training Seminar will be followed by a major event consisting of boxing, MMA, Muaythai, and Kickboxing on November 20, 2020. The Ring Officials Training Seminar is certified by the USA based Association of Professional Boxing Commission (APBC) and WABA.
Mr. Taumafai revealed that three qualified to be involved include APBC’s Ring Officials Committee Chairperson Mr. Rogers Bornor from Ghana. Others would be three times World MMA, Muaythai, and Kickboxing Champions of the world cum Ring Officials trainers Didier Le Borgne from France and Lorenzo Borgomeo from Italy respectively.
Unlike other world sanction bodies that have established separate combat sports entities, WABA has integrated the same in it’s ranks.Mr. Taumafai confirmed the participation of the WABA’s Top Hochos in Dubai including the body’s President and Chair of the Board Hon. Ky Col. Onesmo Alfred McBride Ngowi from Tanzania and Mr. Simon Adjamba the WABA’s Vice President from Namibia.
Others would be Mr. Henry Manly-Spain who is the WABA’s Commissioner to Ghana and a member of the Board of Directors, Ms. Irene Joseph Magebo, WABA’s member of the Board of Directors and it’s Director of Human Resources Management (DHRM) from Tanzania.
Mr. Taumafai revealed that Ms. Agnes Mtimakunena the WABA’s Commissioner to Malawi who is also the former World Welterweight Queen will grace the seminar also.
Hundreds of participants from the United Arab Emirates, Middle East, and Persian Gulf will attend the valuable series number one seminar. The other series will take place in April and November 2021 respectively.
