Former Nigeria international Barnabas Imenger has commended organizers of the Governor Wike Pre Season Tournament.
Imenger, who made this known in a chat stated that the competition is an avenue for teams to make up themselves before the new season.
He began: “I was supposed to join my team (Lobi Stars) in Port Harcourt today (Friday) but had a relapse of my health challenges to which I’m carrying out series of tests to identify the real cause.”
“I commend organisers especially Bashir Badawiy and all the participating teams in advance for successful competition as it’s a platform for teams to shape up their tactical philosophies for the 2020/21 season.
Meanwhile, Lobi Stars started the tournament with a 1-0 shocker over Rivers United at Sharks Stadium on Friday.
