I was shocked to hear the news of an attack of the Head office of Complete Communications Limited, Publishers of Complete Sports newspapers on Sunday morning by hoodlums in Okota, Lagos.
One wonders why media establishments are increasingly becoming the target of attacks by the hoodlums who hid under the guise of #EndSARS protests.
According to a report, the security guards were tied by the hoodlums.
With the latest incident, it has become very important that government should tighten security around the media organisations.
The government should also fish out the perpetrators of the attack and bring them to book.
I also suggest that it is time for the government to float a Relief Fund for media organisations and their personnel caught in the web of a crisis like the #EndSARS protests.
I sympathise with the management and staff of Complete Sports who were affected by the attack and wish them quick recovery.-
