Buruj Sports Academy Chairman, Waheed Salaudeen has given kudos to the Nigeria Government, Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19, Health Workers, Sports Ministry, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), and Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) on the return of all sporting activities following eight months of battling with the coronavirus pandemic which has drastically affected the flow of economic activities across the globe, also with all sports activities suspended in the country.
The indefinite suspension affected all sporting institution most pertinently Buruj Sports Academy as it prevents them from participating in their yearly Int’l tourneys and trials this year.
Dr. Salaudeen Waheed the CEO of Buruj Sports Academy commended “It has been a tough time around the world but kudos to the Presidential Taskforce lead by the Coordinator Dr. Sani Aliyu, The Minister for Sports Mr. Sunday Dare, The Lagos State FA Chairman Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi and Mr. Amaju Pinnick NFF President who worked tirelessly to bring sports back to life especially football.
A great effort has been pulled out to refrain from hindrances to training to enable youngsters to prepare for the next International Tourneys and Trials, in the soundness of health and secure conditions with an unusual approach to daily tasks.
It has indeed been a long time off-pitch for all footballers which is very much quite unusual over the years aside from the normal break-in activities due to national holidays or session breaks. With this, “You don’t get that much time off so you could feel a bit lost. But the support staff, people like Coach Aminu Fatai, Coach Ishola Shuaibu are working tirelessly doing unbelievable things to try to get our boys engaged with regular aerobic exercises and also keep them informed with the latest health updates and we also appreciate our parents and guardian for fully discharging their parental role on the players while they are at home.
He also urges all sports academy owners including the heads of Tertiary Institutions, Colleges, and Primary Schools to ensure strict compliance with the stated guideline on averting the spread of COVID-19.
