Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kaduna state chapter; an affiliate of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has congratulated Alh. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli on his appointment as the Emir of Zazzau.
The Association tasks the Emir to deploy his wealth of experience to promote peaceful coexistence in the Zazzau Emirate and the state at large.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the state Chairman of the Association, Comrade Jacob Zango and the state Secretary, Comrade Abdulwaheed Olayinka Adubi on Thursday.
In the congratulatory message, the Association pray that may God Almighty grant the Emir good health and wisdom to steer the affairs of the kingdom.
” As sports writers, we express hope in the ability of the Emir following his antecedent that he will use his position to promote peaceful coexistence in the interest of the state.
” We are confident that under your emirship, Zazzau Emirate and Kaduna state in general will witness progress, peace and unity in all human endeavours.
Kaduna SWAN urges the Emir to use his position, as the Emir of Zazzau to accelerate and promote grassroots sports development. ” It our *clarion* call that the Emir promote grassroots sports, not only in his domain but in the entire state for unity and progress. As we all know, sport is a veritable tool to promote unity among diverse groups, ” Kaduna SWAN states.
