Lobi Stars of Makurdi coach, Solomon Ogbeide is not getting carried away by his side’s victory in the Charity Cup match against Rangers of Enugu, by says he must weigh the value of his team and their impact going forward.
While admitting he was delighted to prove that his side deserve to be Nigerian champions, despite gaining the title through a truncated season, Ogbeide told sports247.ng that he will return to base an assess his squad.
Ogbeide expressed satisfaction with his side’s 1-0 win in Asaba, but went on to call for constructive criticisms from stakeholders to help his side get better, and do well in the CAF Champions League.
He reasoned that the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champs need to work harder in order top do better in the coming year.
Ogbeide stressed: “We are not a finished article yet. We want to do well in next season’s CAF Champions League and the NPFL.
“That’s why we require credible input from people who are outside our team. Let them criticise us, let them analyse us, and we will get better.”
