Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia coach, Christopher Danjuma has opined that the Super Falcons lost to South Africa in their opening match of the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations in Ghana because the terrain is new to the man in charge of the team, Thomas Dennerby.
Danjuma, who is also the handler of Nigeria’s under-20 female national team, Falconets, further told sports247.ng that Dennerby needs more time to adjust to the African style of playing the game.
However, Danjuma rose in strong defense of Dennerby, as he says the Swedish tactician will soon get his bearing right.
“All I think he needs is time to settle down and understand the terrain,” said Danjuma.
“The Swede is still learning African football, as the terrain is entirely new to him. All I ask is for Nigerians to be patient with him.”
