The Nigerian Shooting sports federation Brigadier General Oladeji Adeoye(rtd) has started counting the gains of the 4 days tour of Kano state two months ago embarked by him and some members of the federation.
According to the president , Kano State is opening a new vista for the growth and development of shooting sports both on the north west and the entire northern region.
” Following extensive discussions with the NSSF coordinator of North West Mr Thomas Shelsuk for the necessary trip to the state which yielded fruitful discussions with relevant stakeholders in the state.
Other locations visited birthed positive ideas on the establishment of Shooting ranges at the Ganduje Stadium , Kano Shooting range at Kofar Na’isa field and Tiga Dams respectively.
Already there is an existing shooting and Hunting sports Association. Kano State have gone far in shooting sports and intend to bring in other north western states along with them”
The president further stated that the NSSF will donate two air rifles, two pistols, and five paper targets to the Kano state shooting and Hunting sports Association as an encouragement to their zeal and passion.
He promised to work hand in hand with the Kano state shooting and Hunting association to sustain the tempo
