The nation’s capital football governing body, FCT FA has commiserated Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, and FCT Referee Association over the deaths of former Chairman, Adamawa Football Association, late Musa Duhu and Richard Anazodo.
Nigerian soccer fraternities were thrown into another deep mourning following the shocking demise of Adamawa state Football Association Musa Duhu. According to the report gathered, the former NFF Executive member was confirmed dead on Saturday evening, September 19, at an unnamed hospital in Yola.
Retired referee, late Anazodo was also confirmed dead last Wednesday. The former Chairman, FCT Referee Bwari Society was described as one of the best during his active days.
In a statement issued by the Association on Monday, the Chairman, Mouktar Mohammed who received with rude shock the news of Musa Nuhu and Richard Anazodo’s deaths prayed that their souls rest in peace.
“It was with profound shock and sadness that I learnt of the tragic passing of Musa Nuhu and Anazodo. May their gentle souls rest in eternal peace. Mouktar said.
“His (Nuhu) death means that the federation has lost an outstanding, dedicated and hard working executive member and all football family will feel his loss.
“On behalf of the Board of the FCT FA, I would like to offer our sincere condolences to the NFF and his family and the entire people of our great country, Nigeria. Also, we commiserated with FCT Referee Association over the death of former referee, Richard Anazodo,’’ he concluded.
