Michael O’Neill named John Obi Mikel in his starting XI for the season opener against Millwall as Stoke City opened their 2020/21 Championship season with a goalless draw away to Millwall on Saturday.

Michael O’Neill says there were a number of positives he took from Stoke City’s Championship opener against Millwall.
The Potters looked the more likely of the two teams to break the deadlock at The Den, however, they were ultimately forced to settle for a point.
The boss was pleased with a large section of his side’s performance, which he believes can be used as a base on which to build moving forward.
“(Steven) Fletcher and Jacob Brown did very well, and the more minutes we get into John Obi Mikel the more game-ready he becomes.
