President of the Nigeria Amputee Football Federation, Suleiman Isah has stated that his federation’s next port of call will be the preparation for the Amputee Football Africa cup of nations which will be coming up next year in Angola.
Suleiman, while speaking to sports radio 88.9 Brila FM noted that a date for the nations cup has not been decided yet, but remains convinced that their preparation now will be towards the Africa cup of nations as Angola has been given the go ahead to host the competition.
The Nigeria Amputee team recently took part in the Amputee World Cup in Mexico. The team lost their first two games against Russia and Brazil before getting their first win defeating El Salvador 1 – nil.
Angola, host of the Amputee Cup of Nations defeated Germany 5 – 4 on penalties at the recently concluded Amputee World Cup in Mexico.
