The Nationwide League One, NLO is in deep mourning over the death of Tolu Abe, the Head of ICT at the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, which sad incident occurred on Saturday at National Hospital, Abuja.
Mohammed Alkali, the Chairman of NLO said, he received the news of the death of Mr. Abe with great shock, as he noted that he was a sound professional, a committed officer that worked diligently in the discharge of his duties as the head of ICT, NFF.
“The news was very devastating to me. It was very shocking because i so much believed that he was going to recover fully, but the best is known to Almighty Allah and we cannot question Him,” Alkali said.
“He was very amiable fellow, a great professional and we pray that Allah will give his family the fortitude to bear this loss. May his soul rest in peace,” he added.
Still on the shocking demise of Abe, the Chief Operating Officer of the NLO, Olushola Ogunnowo said that his heart is heavy with mourning of the death of Tolu Abe.
“My heart is heavy and the tears continued to drop thinking about Tolu. I can’t still believe it, but that is the sad reality that he is no more.
“We can only be console ourselves with the fact that Tolu rendered great service to humanity as the head of ICT of NFF. He was a top notch professional.
“We pray God will strengthen his immediate family, his aged mother, his loved ones and everyone in the football family in Nigeria that is saddened with the news of his death. May his soul rest in peace, amen,” he said.
