The Surulere regional league 2020/2021 scheduled to hold in February 2020 was postponed indefinitely due to the corona virus pandemic.
The corona Virus Pandemic which has stopped all sporting activities in Nigeria for the past 6 months most importantly football being a contact sport. The Corona Virus Pandemic had adverse effect on semi professional players and teams as football is yet to resume officially in Nigeria
As part of preparation and readiness for the upcoming Surulere regional league season which is rescheduled as per when football resumes in Nigeria , the Surulere league management and the stakeholders agreed to play the upcoming league in a group format which was decided at the meeting held yesterday at De Elegance Hotel and suite , with presence of the media journalists tagged “Scripting Surulere Regional league 2020” .
The league which is tamed the best Semi professional league in Nigeria where many players has been produced playing in professional leagues across Europe. The Surulere regional league was meant to be played in a single format this season whereby each team will play 19 games for duration of the season but due to the effect of the Pandemic the Surulere league management agreed to group the teams in 2 (Group A and B)with 10 teams in each group playing 9 matches in the regular season and 4 matches in the 8 team playoff where the champion of the league will be determined.
Team360 football club is grouped in A which is tamed Group of Death alongside other Top Academies and semi Professional teams named Box2Box fc , Be Arena Fc , New Direction Sport Fc , Dannaz Fc, Depros Fc , Danjuma babes Fc ,Freiburgerweg FA and GSC Fc.
The Surulere regional league 2020/2021 is scheduled to hold as soon as football resumes in Nigeria.
