Buruj Sports Academy will confront Golden Dollars this Saturday in the next round of the ongoing Hon. Sesan Dada Football Tournament holding at Alasalatu playing ground, Agric, Ikorodu.
The game according to the schedule by the organisers, the Ikorodu Divisional Football Association, will kick off by 1pm.
To reach this stage, the young but highly enterprising Buruj Boys played a 1-1 draw in the opening match against E-Four FC before recording a walk-over win over Majidun United in the second game.
In the final group game on Monday, the current English Super Cup champions thrashed Standard FC by 4 goals to nil to top the group with seven points and seven goals difference.
And while previewing the weekend game, the CEO of the academy, Dr. Salaudeen Waheed, stated that though the match against the next opponents Golden Dollars will be very tough, his boys are battle ready to win and move to the next stage.
He also stressed that the ultimate objective of participation is to win the title, the technical crew have been ordered to use the games of the tournament to prepare the team ahead of their next European trip.
Registration of players for those trips is still ongoing, while the list of the players who will make the cut will be made public in due course.
