The Football club Owners Association of Nigeria (Club Owners) says it received with shock the news of the death of two important Football personalities in Nigeria, Elder Bode Oyewole and Henrietta Ukaigwe who died on Tuesday.
Elder Bode Oyewole was until his death a former boss of Shooting stars FC Ibadan, a seasoned journalist and NFF accredited NPFL match commissioner.
He would be remembered for his humility and professionalism in journalism aside his contributions to the development of Football.
On the other hand late Henrietta Ukaigwe was a frontline promoter and advocate for the growth and development of female Football in Nigeria.
She was the founder of Female Football Interest Group FFIG and a seasoned sports writer with special passion for female Football.
Until her death Henrietta Ukaigwe was a board member of the Nigeria Women Football League.
Club Owners in a sympathy message jointly signed by the chairman Barr Isaac Danladi and the Executive Secretary Alloy Chukwuemeka said the deaths of the two Football personalities have created a big vacuum considering their untapped wealth of experience.
The Association commiserate with the Nigeria Football family, the Nigeria Women Football League, the Management and fans of 3SC, the NUJ, Lagos SWAN and their immediate families and friends and prayed for the repose of their souls.
