CEO of Buruj Sports academy, Salaudeen Waheed has applauded the NFF leadership for its contributions to the development and growth of the round leather game in Nigeria following the Federations decision to assist football academies in Lagos with aim at developing and growing youth talents.
According to the NFF, Lagos State has only three football academies, which include the Buruj Sports Academy, Pepsi and Barca and as such, the trio will be beneficiaries of this largeese.
Speaking on the great evolvement, he also appealed that the current tempo of development should be maintained for the good of the game, adding that such efforts should be further worked upon as products could help the country win global competitions and also be found worthy of hosting major international competitions.
He also praised the 1st Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation and Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association Barr Seyi Akinwunmi for his commitments and expertise in creating veritable grounds in Football and for his love & support towards Buruj Sports Academy.
Moreso, not forgetting the immeasurable values created by the man of great intellect Mr. Sunday Dare the Current Minister for Youth & Sports Development who is bestowed with unique potentials creating new initiative in the world of sports while also recognizing the current Chairman, Lagos State Sports Commission and other sports personalities, adding, “Our emergence as one of the academies recognised by the NFF is an indication that the superior supervising bodies are happy and satisfied with what we are trying to do.”
As earlier revealed, the NFF would appraise the academies based on genre, target and age category of participants among others.
